As stock is moved into, out of and within a warehouse, transactions are entered into WDLS (Warehousing and Distribution Logistics System) so that the location and status of stock and orders can be immediately accessible to those who need them. The WDLS system addresses all critical aspects of warehouse management:

The staff of Brokers Logistics is equipped with e-mail access to better serve our customers.

Application Generated e-Mail

The WDLS application has numerous e-mail exit points that allow us to configure an account to be notified by e-mail when certain processing events occur. Typical uses include:

  • Confirmation of shipments sent/received (ASNs)
  • Notification of an over/short/damage condition found during product receipt
  • Notification that stock has reached a low stock point.
  • Quality hold

The e-mails can be directed to one or more individuals for each type of system event. The format of the e-mail can be set to standard text or HTML

Client Access To WDLS Data

Our clients have secured access to their account status information via the web. Secure access is provided through setup of user profiles for each client. A tailored menu allows us to tune the options available to your needs. Standard scripts exist for checking on order status, receipt status, and inventory status. Additional scripts are easily incorporated into the client menus.

Our client menus also support a custom image for each of our customer. This allows us to establish client menus with your own corporate logo. Links can be easily added to other Internet pages allowing us to create a seamless interface to all the information you need.

Web Publishing Wizards

Included in our WDLS WEB offering are publishing tools that enable us to convert WDLS reports and screens into ASCII files and HTML documents. These tools allow us to easily incorporate any WDLS report into our e-mail or publish them to our website for your access.

Web published reports can be added to your client menu for seamless integration. Typically reports are scheduled to run at set times allowing us to refresh the reports on a regular schedule. The publishing tools will convert any textual output to published web pages, giving us the capability to create custom reports and queries to meet specialized client needs.

Web Based Data Entry

The WDLS Software was created to allow web-based forms documents for entering typical eCommerce information. These are designed to be business-to-business (B2B) transactions that reduce phone, fax and transposition errors. Typical transactions are order entry and shipment delivery confirmation. They are especially valuable for quick delivery of exception transactions such as rush orders.

WDLS e-Commerce

The WDLS EDI software provides the triggering, validation, extraction, posting, and reporting processes to interface effectively with the WDLS application. Brokers Logistics monitors the standards and continues to enhance WDLS and the WDLS EDI interfaces to keep us in compliance with industry specifics standards. WDLS EDI has standard processes for each of the typical kinds of electronic documents received by Brokers Logistics.

WDLS Radio Frequency

The WDLS RF application comprises a series of functions that center upon automating the warehouse floor. By placing radio frequency devices in the hands of the warehousemen or on rolling equipment, the application can be used to direct the activities of the labor force and record their progress. Using the tools of the application, operations managers can build an analog model of their warehouse and use that model to effectively manage their operations. The application also provides an electronic means of tracking the status of an order or receiver, which can replace the paper, documents that formerly acted to control processing.
